To reduce “orange peel,” you gently “tip” your wet surface with the spalter to encourage leveling. It also works on glaze as a strie brush especially designed for application on tall walls. The added reach given by the handle will allow you to do an 8ft wall without stepping on a ladder. This brush is held delicately at 90 degrees at the wet surface to create a very fine almost non-perceptible striae.
